E Jiah is currently busy preparing for her drama, by actively conversing with her acquaintances to study her character before her comeback. She recently decided to return to acting with MBC’s new drama Me Too, Flower!, one of the most anticipated dramas of the year, as it’s written by Kim Do Woo of My Lovely Sam Soon and produced by Ko Dong Sun of Queen of Housewives.

The romantic comedy is based on the idea that ‘all women have a right to be loved,’ and the first actress it sent its love call to was, surprisingly enough, E Jiah. The actress shocked the public with the reveal of her secret marriage and divorce from legendary singer Seo Taiji, and laid low for some time, before accepting MBC’s offer on September 18.

An official from E Jiah’s agency stated, “We had a meeting after the holidays with writer Kim Do Woo and producer Ko Dong Sun, who showed good feelings toward E Jiah and explained the character to her. E Jiah related to and really liked the female lead role Cha Bong Sun, so she made the big decision to return as an actress. She often chats through Kakao Talk with the producers and agency staff, talking about the drama and studying the character.”

E Jiah plans to participate in the script reading for Me Too, Flower!, scheduled for September 26 at MBC’s Ilsan Dream Center. She will also appear at the drama’s press conference in October, where it’s likely that E Jiah will be the center of attention.

A drama official stated, “MBC is greatly concerned with the drama’s public opinion and popularity, because Me Too, Flower! is a self-produced drama. We plan to persuade E Jiah to join the press conference, but we’re actually worried that she’ll be asked awkward questions or [that the atmosphere will become stiff]. We hope they will accept her with warm hearts.”

Me Too, Flower! is a love story centered around the ill-tempered female police officer Cha Bong Sun (E Jiah) and a sly designer boutique parking agent (Kim Jae Won), who is actually the boss in disguise. Han Go Eun and Cho Min Ki have also been cast in the drama. Me Too, Flower! will be broadcast in early November, following the end of Can’t Lose.
