Big Bang and 2NE1 Chosen as Favorite Korean Groups in France

In January, the Visit Korea site owned by the Korean Tourism Organization in Paris held a survey for the understanding of the Korean wave and behavior of 3,775 hallyu fans in France.

In the favorite male group area, Big Bang came in no. 1 with 49.9 percent while 2NE1 came in no. 1 in the female group area with 64.8 percent. (Multiple responses accepted)

Big Bang was relatively favored more by male hallyu fans and those in their early 20s.

2NE1 was supported by a similar ratio of male and female fans compared to other girl groups, and was favored by those in their teens to those in their early 20s.

Previously in 2011, Big Bang and 2NE1 also topped a survey held in K-Pop France, a French K-Pop music site.

Big Bang and 2NE1 are currently promoting in Japan, both releasing studio albums on March 28 and making it into the top ranks of the Oricon Chart. The groups also appeared in Spring Groove, a Japanese music festival held in Osaka and Tokyo on March 31 and April 1, to perform with musicians from around the world.
