Yoona and Lee Mi Sook are supposed to play the same person in different timelines for KBS2’s Love Rain, but their resemblance is taking the feat to a new extreme.

Yoona plays both Kim Yun Hee of the 70s and Jung Ha Na of 2012. When the time period of the drama shifts to 2012, the middle-aged version of Kim Yun Hee will be taken over by Lee Mi Sook.

The two are showing they’re more than up for their roles with their doppelganger looks. They will be playing mother and daughter in the 2012 portion of the drama, and their looks, especially their side profiles, resemble each other so much it won’t be hard to make their viewers believe in their roles.

As soon as Lee Mi Sook and Yoona’s similarities were revealed, netizens voiced their surprise, saying, ‘Their profiles really resemble each other!’ ‘The two look really similar in the photos’, ‘Like mother, like daughter. Beauty passed on through generations!’ and ‘Lee Mi Sook seems to channel Yun Hee’s sadness of the 70s!’

An official from the production company Yoon’s Color said, “Lee Mi Sook and Yoona are not only supposed to be mother and daughter, but also the young adult and middle-aged version of one character, Kim Yun Hee. You can look forward to the new story these two surprisingly similar yet different women will tell in 2012.”

Love Rain will air its third episode on April 2.
