Shinhwa Broadcast Praised for a Good Start on ‘Kind’ Variety
After several months on hiatus and one member short, the Shinhwa members returned for the second season of jTBC’s Shinhwa Broadcast.
On November 3, the second season of Shinhwa Broadcast premiered on both jTBC and Naver TV Cast. For the new season, Shinhwa went on a search for unsung heroes in Korea, with their first heroines being Lee Mi Ja and Danny, who run an animal shelter for 40 dogs and cats.
For the show, the Shinhwa members volunteered their time and services, cleaning the shelter and taking care of the animals. Eric especially stood out as he tried for hours to befriend a dog, who lost complete trust in humans after being starved and abandoned.
In the next episode, Shinhwa will throw a ‘Dog Party’ to get people more aware and raise the chances of adoption for these abandoned animals.
Following the episode, netizens commented, “I was so moved watching the broadcast. I hope that the number of abandoned dogs decrease,” “I could feel the sincerity of the members doing their best during the filming,” “It was a very touching hour. I think the show had both laughter and emotional healing."
The program received a rating of 1.084 percent.
