With SBS’ K-Pop Star nearing its finale with its final six contestants selected, the agencies of SM, YG and JYP are now bringing out the big guns in order to help determine a winner.

On the past March 25 broadcast of K-Pop Star, the three agencies each selected two finalists from the remaining final six members to begin the show’s ‘Winner Debut Project’ stage.

Until the next live broadcast on April 1, the remaining finalists will now undergo ‘special training’ by its agencies to determine who will take the crown as this season’s K-Pop star - and clearly, the battle between the Big 3 is on.

On judge Park Jin Young’s side, the show has revealed he has brought out the best trainers and professionals from JYP. In addition, the Wonder Girls are also helping train the JYP-selected finalists everyday. The group members are reportedly putting their all into the contestants, sharing advice and tips on everything from their song selection to their style.

On YG’s side, Yang has enlisted the help of its in-house producer and song composer, Teddy from 1TYM, who will produce the songs for YG’s trainees in its upcoming live episode.

SM is answering back by bringing out one of its own best hit-makers, Kenzie, who has produced past winning tracks for BoA, TVXQ, Girls’ Generation and other SM artists.

A member of the show’s production said, “SM, YG, JYP are investing their all into the contestants like they are the agencies’ own stocks. These contestants who are working closely with the three agencies will reveal performances that will be comparable to pro singers. Please have a lot of anticipation and encouragement [for the contestants].”
