KBS Sued Over B2ST Yong Jun Hyung′s Statement on TV
A few statements said by B2ST’s Yong Jun Hyung in the past have led into a messy court battle with his former CEO.
Back in February of 2012, Yong Jun Hyung appeared on KBS’ Win Win and talked about his former CEO who had him under a slave contract of 10 years without fulfilling any of the promises made. Yong Jun Hyung explained that the CEO called him out to a bar once and drunkenly broke an alcohol bottle, making Yong Jun Hyung fear for his life.
After the broadcast was aired, the former CEO, Kim, sued KBS for broadcasting false reports in July of 2012. KBS argued back saying the CEO mentioned in the broadcast did not refer to Kim and that the statements made on the show are true.
During the court case, it’s been revealed that Yong Jun Hyung stood as a witness, affirming that everything he said on television was true.
The court ruled on October 28 that KBS must show a refuting report of Kim’s side ahead of the broadcasts for Our Neighborhood Variety and Sports and Entertainment Relay as there is not enough evidence that Yong Jun Hyung was telling the truth, but there’s also not enough evidence to prove that what he said was false.
KBS has decided to appeal to the court′s decision. It’s also said that Kim is suing Yong Jun Hyung for perjury.
