Jay Park has graced the pages of men’s fashion and lifestyle magazine GQ, where no topic was off limits concerning the straight-shooting singer.

The singer is featured in the April issue of the magazine in a spread titled “I’m Going to Do As I Please.”

Fans may be used to seeing Park take it off on stage; however, the singer bares it all in a different way for the accompanying interview, speaking candidly about being compared to Big Bang’s Taeyang as well as the racy lyrics on his latest album New Breed.

“When people who don’t know look at us, we may appear to be slightly similar because we’re both small, have [relatively nice] bodies, do R&B and dance,” said Park of the Taeyang comparisons. “But, I think that we’re similar and different at the same time.”

He went on to praise the Big Bang member before stating, “For one, I do different genres of music. Um, I’m not really sure how to explain it. Shall I say I don’t have as many boundaries?”

As much as Park has matured as an artist, fans have noticed that the lyrics of the songs on his album have become much more grown up as well.

On the racy nature of the track Turn Off the Phone from his latest album, Park said, “I was inspired by LeeSsang’s Turned Off the TV. While thinking about how I could make a catchy song in Korean, Turned Off the TV came to mind. So I thought, what would be [a] really racy [thing] to turn off? [I thought] The phone!”

Park has also accumulated his fair share of tattoos over the years, and when asked whether any of his tattoos are about a girl, the inked singer said, “I will never get a tattoo about a girl. It could end badly later on. If it’s not about my family or my b-boy crew, I don’t want to get it.”
