Actor Hyun Bin and Chinese actress Tang Wei’s movie Late Autumn is seeing success in China.

Hyun Bin and Tang Wei’s ‘Late Autumn’ Becomes Biggest Opening Korean Film in China

It was revealed on March 26 that the mellow-romance movie, Late Autumn , which opened in China on March 23, brought in approximately 25 million yuan (approximately 4.5 billion won) over three days, earning it the honor of being the Korean movie with the biggest opening in China.

Based on its popularity, it is expected to break the 30 million yuan record set by Korean movies such as D-War and Sector 7.

Lee Joo Ik, CEO of Boram Entertainment, Late Autumn’s distributing company, said at the movie’s premiere, “Viewers have broken the prejudice that artistic movies or movies in foreign languages cannot achieve box-office success.”
