SM Entertainment Raising Capital Through Its In-House Artists

There has been a lot of buzz surrounding SM Entertainment’s decision to increase its capital by issuing new stocks through its in-house artists.

On March 26, SM Entertainment revealed that it would increase its company stock by 1,000,000,000won through a third party, which will include in-house singers and actors such as Kangta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation and Go Ara.

A representative from SM Entertainment said, “The purpose of the capital increase is to strengthen the partnership between the agency and its in-house artists. With their participation, the artists will be able to actively participate and share in the agency’s vision and growth.”

The participation of Super Junior, TVXQ, Girls’ Generation and other artists with aspirations of becoming a global star will help upgrade the scale of SM’s global reach and has further attracted the attention of the public.

Thanks to their developing partnership, the music industry’s growing expectations have been concentrated on the global growth of SM and its affiliated hallyu stars.
