Shinhwa, which held its 14th anniversary concert 2012 Shinhwa Grand Tour in Seoul The Return from March 24-25, didn’t forget to thank the fans, saying, “It’s thanks to our fans that we were able to hold this 14th anniversary concert.”

The members of Shinhwa held a press roundtable session on March 25 just before their concert to talk about how they felt about their 14th anniversary.

They opened up on why most of the members showed tears during the concert held on March 24, saying, “It didn’t really feel like we were making a comeback yet, but seeing our fans made us emotional. We cried a lot.”

Shin Hye Sung especially showed tears just after their opening performance of T.O.P. The members said, “Our concert yesterday was the best out of the concerts we held during our 14 years. We were satisfied. We were very surprised when Shin Hye Sung started crying after the opening performance.”

Most of the members broke down near the ending. The members’ parents, including Jun Jin’s father Charlie Park and Andy’s grandmother came up onstage, which pushed the members toward tears.

“We’re so thankful our fans are showing such passionate support,” the members said about their new single. “We performed our new single Venus for the first time yesterday, and it was received well. The album has been sold out, and we feel like we’ve received a big present from our fans in celebration of our 14th birthday.”

When asked whether they had met any difficulties while preparing for the concert, they answered, “We worked harder than ever before, and we worked on our teamwork. Shin Hye Sung supported the members well. Thankfully, we were able to prepare for the concert without much difficulty.”

The members laughed and said, “We found we had no physical problems after performing yesterday,” to a question asking whether they had met any physical limits as they were all more than 30 years old.

They added, however, that they “can’t use special effects in the concert because of the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit being held from March 26-27.”

“Fans could think that we’re moving less actively compared to our 10th anniversary concert held four years ago, but that’s not true. It’s just because we can’t use any special effects the way we want to.”

Shinhwa started up its new set of promotions with its 10th studio album, released on March 23. The album drew in prominent musicians such as Yoon Il Sang, Kim Do Hyun and Jung Jae Yoon. The group will also be continuing through Asia until July with concerts in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing, China, and cities in Japan including Tokyo and Kobe. A concert in Taiwan will also be taking place.
