Wonder Girls Completes Production on New American Album
The Wonder Girls are about to begin its activities in the American music scene once more.
On March 24, producer and composer Park Jin Young informed fans of the group’s American activities via his personal Twitter.
In it he wrote, “Wonder Girls’ twelve-tracked American album has been completed. The world’s best composers took part in the album and the all-time biggest-scale music video’s production has finished as well.”
Wonder Girls first entered the American market with its hit Korean song, Nobody in 2009. But the group wasn′t able to make as big of a impact stateside as everyone had hoped and subsquently returned to the Korean music scene last year.
Park went on to say, “The upcoming title song has a surprise that will catch everyone off guard. We are currently working with our American partners to adjust the release date and method so please wait a little bit more.”
Park also informed about the Wonder Girls’ future plans in Korea saying, “With the American album and music video completed, we have gone into production for the group’s Korean album so to the fans in Korea- please wait. This summer let’s make it a Wonder Girls festival in Korea and abroad~.”
The Wonder Girls recently released a new single, The DJ Is Mine in both Korea and America and achieved success in Korea by placing first on the online music charts.
