Big Bang’s Seungri Becomes First Foreign Celebrity to Host Major TV Program in Japan
Showing that he’s the jack of all trades, Big Bang’s Seungri has been hired to lead a Japanese show on regular cable, making him the first foreign celebrity to do so.
According to YG Entertainment on September 24, beginning from September 27, Seungri will jump into Fuji TV’s Popular Women 100 as a co-host with Japanese comedian Yamazaki Hironari.
With his above par Japanese-speaking skills, Seungri has received much love and popularity for the past four years, appearing on various Japanese variety programs. This will be his first time hosting a major program in Japan. He is also the first foreign celebrity to do so on regular cable.
Popular Women 100 is about 100 women who will appear on the show to share about their dating lifestyles and to teach unpopular men how to become popular.
Meanwhile, Seungri will appear on the Mazamashi Live Island Tour 2013 in Fukuoka on September 25, followed by Japanese promotions for his solo album, Let’s Talk About Love on October 9.
