Girls′ Generation Sexy Jessica vs Proud Yuri
Girls′ Generation members Jessica and Yuri are in a battle of charms with different editorials in two prominent fashion magazines.
“Ask me about my concerts. Stop asking me about stuff like marriage.”
Despite his plea, reporters powered on with their random questions. We were sitting down with Shin Seung Hoon at a dinner organized by him and his concert management company, Good Concert, who will be supervising his upcoming concert, The Shin Seung Hoon Show - Grand Finale, which will be held from June 10-11 at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts.
Reporters poured out questions concerning his stint as a judge on MBC’s The Great Birth and I Am A Singer. After asking reporters to remember to write about his concert as well, he opened up about The Great Birth.
Jessica flew to Bangkok, Thailand, for a Levi′s denim photo shoot, which will be published in the September issue of Marie Claire. Jessica showed off her affinity with fashion, with a rough and course, yet sexy and artistic air.
“At first, I decided to join the program because I was thankful that a major TV station would make a music program for a Friday night primetime slot. But now The Great Birth is proving to be a motivation for me. It’s been 20 years since my debut, but I still feel nervous when I am on the show. I’ve never been a teacher, and I know how it feels to fail auditions, so it was hard for me to be harsh to the mentees at first. But as the show progressed, I learned how to scold mentees who weren’t fixing their flaws.”
Over the past few years, Shin has constantly expressed his desire to foster the younger generation. He had even revealed his plan in detail, saying that any song that he wrote that didn’t fit his voice, he would give to the singers he was nurturing. Although he failed to realize this particular plan, instead, he is nurturing the younger generation through The Great Birth.
“Discover new talent? I said I would try, but I simply didn’t have the time. Instead, I’m teaching mentees these days. The first thing I taught them was how to greet band members and crew. And then I told them, ‘strive to be a true singer, rather than a top singer.’ Unfortunately, Dorothy Company, which I run, cannot accept the mentees. We don’t have the right system set up. So instead, I’m making an effort to find them good companies behind the scenes,” Shin says.
Shin Seung Hoon is building relationships with his mentees outside of the show. Shin said his mentees Yun Gun Hee and Seo Ui Hwan surprised him in March by visiting his concert site in the U.S., even bringing their parents with them. Shayne performed at his concert held in Daegu on May 8, drawing fervent responses from the audience. Other mentees Yun Gun Hee, Hwang Ji Hwan and Jo Hyeong Woo will be making guest appearances on his upcoming concert as well.
“We were drinking at a samgyeopsal place with my mentees, and I made them a promise, ‘Any one of you who makes the top three, I’ll let perform at my concert.’ And then Shyane made the top three. The promise I had made in jest had been fulfilled,” Shin says.

Though Jessica is generally known for her cuteness, she also showed off her perfect body by wearing a variety of denim and shirts which seemed to be cut just for her； the singer also grabbed her fan′s attention with a photo displaying the ′missing bottom′ fashion.
On the other hand, Yuri emulated the diva of the century, opera singer Maria Callas, with diamond jewelry and couture dresses, in a editorial to be released in the September issue of Cosmopolitan.
Yuri exemplified the image of a proud and graceful woman in a see-through maxi dress and a dramatic couture look. In a recent college student survey, Yuri was named became a proud and graceful woman, in a see-through long dress and dramatic couture look. Fittingly, in a recent college student survey, she was named the top ‘woman with superior genes.′
