A closer examination of the chart shows that among the six total versions of Alive, the Big Bang version took first place, followed by the T.O.P version at second and G-dragon and Seungri′s versions at fifth and seventh respectively. Taeyang and Daesung’s versions of the album also reached 11th and 13th place, meaning all six versions placed in the album rankings top twenty.

In addition, the imported Korean version of G’Dragon’s version of the album reached 18th on the album chart.

Despite Big Bang never having stepped foot in Taiwan, this result, as well as the group′s recently first-place ranking on thirteen different charts, clearly indicates Big Bang’s global popularity.

In addition to achieving the top spots in Korea’s various online and offline charts, Alive reached seventh on the U.S. iTunes chart, reached over 10 million views of the music video for its single Blue on YouTube and other feats, to establish them as the face of the recent K-Pop boom.

After successfully kicking off to its global concert tour in Seoul from March 2 to March 4, Big Bang will now go on to 15 different countries and 25 cities for its global tour.
