The award at this year’s 20’s Choice Awards, held at Ilsan’s Kintex on July 18, couldn’t come at a better time for Infinite, as the idol group takes off on its One Great Step world tour in the coming days.

In addition to the 15 award categories open to fans’ votes, the 20’s Best Global Touring Artist Award was among the four awards kept under tight wraps until the day of the event handed out at this year’s 20’s Choice Awards.

When Infinite took to the stage to accept its award, member Hoya said, “The invitation to the 20’s Choice Awards itself was an honor, but we’ll take this big award as a sign to work harder. We’ll continue to be an Infinite that works hard. Inspirit, we love you.”

During a separate Q&A session with reporters after receiving the award, the Infinite members talked about their new album as well as their upcoming tour.

On the new album, Hoya stated, “Although it’s a single album, the scale is great and we prepared a lot. We worked hard to return to the core while preparing for the album.”

As the boys embark on their world tour, Dong Woo expressed his excitement to meet the group’s global fans once again, stating that “Meeting the global fans had a lasting impression on us.”

Infinite will take off on its world tour with a two-day concert in Seoul on August 9 and 10.
