Canada to Host a ′Korean Film Festival′ with Recent Films
The most recent, popular Korean films have been flying over to Canada for a special screening.
A Korean Film Festival took place in Canada′s Ottawa, while next it is expected to come up in Montreal.
The festival, produced in celebration of 30 years of diplomatic ties between Canada and Korea, is hosted by the Korean Embassy in Canada with help from the Consulate General of each province. Such festivals are held every year in the country.
Ottawa hosted the festival from June 26-29, while Montreal will start its featival from July 4.
The Front Line, which depicts the sad events of the Korean War, as well as War of the Arrows, Architecture 101, Mother, Pieta, The Gift of Room 7 and Masquerade will screen for the festival.
An official from the event said, "We expect the festival to be a place of cultural exchanges, as it introduces high-quality Korean films and culture to Canada."
