Move Over Girl Groups, Sung Si Kyung is Number One
Sung Si Kyung reclaimed his throne as the king of ballads with the release of his seventh studio album First, which has taken the number one spot on various music charts.
The singer, whose new release marks his return to the music scene after three years, proved he could hold his own against the wave of girl group comebacks. Since the album was released on September 15, the title track I Like It has bumped Kara’s Step and Davichi’s Don’t Say Goodbye out of the top spot on MelOn, Olleh Music, Bugs Music and other real time online music charts.
Those who want to see Sung live need to act fast because tickets to his concert in October are currently number one in advanced sales, further confirming his immense popularity.
Meanwhile, the singer plans to kick off his official return to the stage on the September 15 broadcast of Mnet’s M Countdown.
