[2013 Roundup] The Deaths: Jo Sung Min, Im Youn Taek, Ham Hyo Joo
The first half of 2013 was a busy time for celebrities, with incidents happening right and left and couples springing out every other day.
Again this year, unfortunately, there was also news of celebrities leaving this world and their loved ones behind. The public and fans had to say goodbye to so many figures just in the first half of this year.
The suicide of Jo Sung Min, Choi Jin Sil′s ex-husband, drew tears and sighs from most who heard the news. On January 6, the 40-year-old Jo Sung Min took his own life.
"I′m sorry toward my father and my mother. I was always a bad son, and again I leave this scar stamped on their hearts. [...] My son and daughter, Hwan Hee and Joon Hee, whom I love, will be left with an unbearable scar from even their father. [...] Never forgive your bad parents," he said in his will.
Before the tears could dry, another bit of bad news swept through showbiz. Ulala Session′s Im Youn Taek, who was known to be fighting stomach cancer, passed away on February 11. He was 33 years old.
On March 12, Kang Tae Gi, the veteran playactor who served as the head of the Korean Actors Association, left this world.
Most recently, on June 8, MBC comedienne Ham Hyo Joo died in a car accident. She had been hit by a car while jaywalking after having some drinks with her comedian friends. She was 29 years old.
