John Park, who made his official debut with his mini album Knock on February 22, revealed that his parents have left America to settle in Korea.

John Park said in a recent interview with enews, “My parents are in Korea. They came because of their son. I’m not living with them, but I feel reassured now that my parents are in Korea.”

He added, “My parents were against my working in music when I was in high school, but now they’re very supportive. I was the one holding back when my parents support me.”

John Park is a Korean-American who used to live in Seattle. He frequently traveled between Korea and America because of his father’s business. He was born in America, but he spent his childhood in Korea, and returned to America when he was in elementary school.

Currently, John Park attends Northwestern University as an economics major. He has applied for a leave of absence in order to work as a singer in Korea. “You can have leave of absences regardless of term in America, so there’s no need for me to return to school in the near future. Still, I plan to finish my studies, although I don’t know exactly when that will be as of now.”

John Park will soon be promoting his album with the first single cut Falling, which he wrote the lyrics for himself. His album made issues for being produced by Kim Dong Ryul.
