Han Hye Jin denied rumors that she and soccer player Ki Sung Yueng will be holding a luxurious wedding by opening up on specifics about the ceremony.

On May 28, the actress tweeted, "This is Hye Jin. It′s been a while."

She said, "I′ll be getting married on July 1. We′ve promised to bond as a married couple and become one."

The actress then referred to the rumors that the couple is planning on putting on a giant, luxurious wedding, saying, "We′ve taken out a lot of parts to make the wedding more simple. We won′t be doing pyebaek (a traditional ceremony in which the couple pays respect to their in-laws) and we won′t be exchanging a ham (box) of wedding gifts. We′ll be borrowing our dresses and clothes and a couple ring is all we got for wedding presents. The reason we borrowed a giant hall was to accommodate many people. It′s a ceremony that′s far from being luxurious."

It was originally said that Han Hye Jin would hold a small ceremony in a church, but once it became known she is preparing to hold her wedding in a hotel in Gangnam, some came to criticize her for lavishing too much extravagance on her wedding.

"It will happen on July 1 at 7 p.m., at the Intercontinental Hotel," she said. "Minister Kim Joshua of the Seoul Dream Church will officiate, and Yangpa unni (big sister) agreed to sing for the first part of the wedding."

She finished, "We finally had our parents meet a few days ago, and we haven′t held a wedding shoot yet. We are undecided on where to go for our honeymoon. My groom will return to his team for training the day after the wedding, and I will shoot the film When a Man Loves until late July, as well as Healing Camp, then join him."
