My Name Grows Into a Hallyu Group with Its Japan Tour
My Name became the new hallyu-dol with its first Japan tour.
On May 18, My Name started on its tour with a show in Osaka, then went on to Nagoya on May 19 and Tokyo on May 25. Though the tour was its first ever in the country, all seats to the concerts sold out, gathering a total of 8,000 fans across all three shows.
The group performed a total of 22 songs, including We Are the Night and other singles released in Korea. In some performances, the group divided into a vocalist team and rap team for a more exciting show, and appealed with its many different charms across a variety of dance, ballad and rock singles.
All five members even spoke fluently in Japanese, touching the hearts of their fans with their effort.
Fans held up light sticks in one hand and Korean placards with the members′ names on them in the other. Near the middle of the concert, they even put on a surprise event by holding up placards reading ′Love you forever′ in Korean.
The My Name members said through their agency, "We gave our best to repay our fans for their passionate love and support. It was a great experience, as we got to meet with our Japanese fans through the concerts."
My Name will make a return in Korea late June.
