The press preview for the movie was held at a restaurant in Seoul on May 24. Directors Son Tae Gyum and Kim Tae Hee were present, as well as actress Kim Bo Ra and screenwriter Min Ye Ji.

A five minute prequel video, released through the Daum application at midnight on May 24, as well as a second video to be released on May 31 were aired this day.

In the press roundtable that followed, director Son said to a question asking after Im Si Wan′s acting, "I thought things over a lot thinking that I should find a new type of actor. Im Si Wan is an idol and he′s active as a singer, but he showed off some new acting in MBC′s The Sun and the Moon. I cast him after seeing his seriousness and depth."

Im Si Wan will be appearing in the movie as the main lead Jang Geu Rae. Though the prequel that aired this day was short, his accurate character depiction shined through.

"It is true many were concerned," director Son added, "But after holding meetings and script readings, I came to believe that he was a guy who knew how to express his roles. I trusted him."

He then said, "He would′ve been surprised at the close-up shots, but he didn′t show it. It was like I was seeing Jang Geu Rae come to life through his detailed actions. I think Im Si Wan′s own brand of acting helped him fit in well."

Not Life is based on a webtoon of the same title. It will be divided into six videos, and the first was released on May 24. Every Friday, each next video will follow.
