Super Junior’s fifth album, Mr. Simple is officially a hit!


The group’s latest album, released on August 3, has ranked first on Hanteo Charts since the second week of September, holding onto the top spot for five weeks in a row.

The album’s title track, Mr. Simple also claimed the top spot for five weeks in a row on KBS2’s Music Bank as of September 9, the longest time any song has been on top this year. Super Junior also won a triple crown, and topped SBS’s Inkigayo and Mnet’s M Countdown charts as well.


The album was also released in Taiwan on September 6; right after its release, the album swept an array of music charts in Taiwan, including Five Music, Kuang Nan.

In fact, this album hit the top of album charts for two weeks in a row prior to its official release, thanks to the high number of imported albums.

Mr. Simple replaced its hit song Bonamana, which remained at number one for 63 weeks at KKBox, the country’s largest music site, solidifying Super Junior’s status as a global Hallyu star.
