SNSD′s Yuri to Make Big Screen Debut with ′No Breathing′
SNSD′s Yuri will be making her debut on the silver screen as a musician in a swimming film.
SM Entertainment announced on May 16 that Yuri has been cast as the lead for the film No Breathing.
No Breathing will be Korea′s first film about swimming, and in the process will depict the love and friendship running among youths of this age. Lee Jong Seok and Seo In Guk have already been confirmed for lead roles.
In the movie, Yuri will appear as Jung Eun, a girl who dreams of becoming a musician. She is very laid back, and boasts an ability to contain much emotion in her songs. She will be involved in a love triangle with her childhood friends, played by Lee Jong Seok and Seo In Guk.
Yuri previously appeared in the KBS2 drama Unstoppable Wedding and SBS′ Fashion King, but No Breathing will be her first feature film.
The singer commented, "I′m happy I′ll be able to show something new about myself through film. I came to like the character after reading the scenario for No Breathing, and I started to feel like acting. I′ll work hard to make the movie a good piece."
No Breathing will start shooting from May 19, and premiere in the latter half of the year.
