Seo Yuri Asks Shinhwa Fans to Not Hate her After ‘SNL Korea’
Taking a 19+ rated show and turning it into a 109+ rating according to comedian Ahn Young Mi, Shinhwa appeared as the hosts for tvN’s Saturday Night Live Korea.
It was because of the show’s increase in inappropriateness with Shinhwa as the host that voice actress and SNLK cast member, Seo Yuri asked Shinhwa fans to not hate her, even before the show aired at 11PM (KST) on May 4.
On May 4, Seo Yuri tweeted, “Today’s SNL Korea… Shinhwa Changjo-nims (Shinhwa’s fanclub)… please don’t hate me TT TT TT TT TT”
The reason for Seo Yuri’s tweet was due to the close interaction between the actress and Shin Hye Sung in the skit ‘The Museum is Alive,’ where the Shinhwa members act as museum figurines to showcase the group Shinhwa.
Seo Yuri acted as a museum curator, making sure the Shin Hye Sung figurine was clean for viewing.
However, following the broadcast, the response from Shinhwa fans have been mostly positive with comments such as “We don’t hate you,” “It’s only acting,” “I was actually a bit jealous,” and “No need to apologize. It’s just a show.”
Seo Yuri later tweeted on May 5, “No joke, but my hands were shaking as I acted…I was honestly really scared.”
