Comedian Jung Bum Gyun Saves Citizen from Committing Suicide
Known as Yoo Jae Suk’s doppelganger, comedian Jung Bum Gyun managed to be at the right place and right time to save a life.
On April 28 at approximately 9:33 PM (KST), a man in his mid-40s began cursing at the top of his lungs while on the Mapo Bridge. He attempted to throw himself over the ledge when Jung Bum Gyun, risking his own life, pulled the man back to safety with the help of other citizens on the bridge.
Once back on the bridge, Jung Bum Gyun talked with the man, trying to calm him down, until the firefighters came to take over the situation.
A firefighter on the scene stated the firefighters didn’t even know it was Jung Bum Gyun at first.
“He just quietly began to leave, so we went to thank him, and it was Jang Bum Gyun.”
The fire department thanked Jung Bum Gyun for his civic services to which Jung Bum Gyun replied, “I just did what anyone would have done.”
