‘K-Pop Star’ Will Be Going Even Bigger for Finals
SBS K-Pop Star producer Park Sung Hoon said he would unleash his hidden potential in the live broadcasts coming up for the show.
Park revealed what he had in store for K-Pop Star’s live performances in an interview held on February 9.
Park said, “We chose the ones to compete in the live broadcasts through a battle audition. Because the three companies are working together, we could try a lot of new things like the battle audition and the previous casting audition.”
He added, “A total of 10 live performance contestants have been chosen. We will be going live with them on March 4.”
“I’m putting together a lot of things,” Park said about the live performances, “Up till now, I worked hard so that [the contestants] wouldn’t feel like they were performing onstage because I wanted to emphasize that they’re still just normal people in the process of fulfilling their dream. So I needed a proper stage to put them on. For the live broadcast, since they’ll be performing in front of a big audience, I’ll differentiate with splendid performances.”
Park stated, “We’ll be unleashing all of the potential we’ve kept inside us.”
K-Pop Star started its journey on December 4, and finally chose the 10 finalists to be on its live broadcast, which will start on March 4 in Ilsan. The final winner will be able to choose which of the three agencies, SM, YG or JYPE, he or she wants to sign with.
