The destinations of his prizes were revealed at his guest appearance on O′live′s Seo Tae Hwa′s Noodle Shop.

When asked what he′ll be doing with his prize money, he surprised everyone by saying, "The prize money isn′t with me, actually."

"I had promised to donate the prize money near the beginning of Master Chef Korea Celebrity if I won. I said that back then because I didn′t know I would win, but now that I′ve won, I have to keep the promise," he said jokingly.

He also gave away the refrigerator he had received as a prize.

"I gave the prize refrigerator to [miss A′s] Fei," he said.

He had done so after learning that Fei had practiced cooking for the show during her only break time of the year, meaning she didn′t get to meet her mother in China.

"Fei had said that she would give the refrigerator as a present to her mother because she couldn′t make it home this year," he said. "I couldn′t help but give her the refrigerator."

He then joked, "So all that′s left with me is the recipe program and the black apron proving I′m the master chef. If I get another chance, I won′t be making promises like this."

Son Ho Young beat out miss A′s Fei and comedienne Shin Bong Sun on the April 12 broadcast of the show to become the winner. He had cooked a three-course Korean meal, wooing the judges with his creative dishes.
