Shinhwa is warning fans to be aware of fake fanclubs claiming to be real.

On March 31, Shinhwa Company issued an official statement on companies claiming to be in charge of the official gathering of Shinhwa’s fanclub in Japan.

“The company that has been taking care of the Japanese official fanclub in 2012 is no longer in charge of fanclub duties,” said Shinhwa Company, explaining that the contract has ended between the two parties.

Shinhwa Company further added that it will be taking legal actions against companies who are not contracted with Shinhwa Company, but is illegally recruiting fans to join. Shinhwa Company hoped that no Japanese fans will fall victim to the scam.

A Shinhwa Company affiliate stated that the previously contracted company did not follow through with reports about the fanclub in 2012. Despite warnings to stop the business, the company did not comply and continued to recruit fans. Shinhwa Company will be pushing charges against the said company for interference with business and fraud.

“Starting 2013, all activities including the running of the Japanese official fanclub, tours overseas, and overall promotions, will be handled by Shinhwa Company,” said Shinhwa Company. “So please do not get mixed up with illegal fanclub recruitment.”

All news about the official fanclubs will be updated on Shinhwa Company′s website.

Meanwhile, Shinhwa will be releasing its 11th album in April, which will be followed by a tour around Asia.
