F(x) will soon be the first Korean artist to be featured in the American humor site ′Funny or Die′.
At 6 p.m. on March 28 (KST), Funny or Die will be releasing a comic drama featuring f(x) and Hollywood actress Anna Kendrick.
Funny or Die is a site set up by Hollywood star Will Ferrell and the American agency CAA to produce videos related to music and humor.
Since its opening in April 2007, it has managed to grow to gather over 60 million views every month. It has won many awards, and has over 56 million followers on Twitter and 2 million friends on Facebook.
Such figures as Justin Bieber, Hillary Duff, Matthew McConaughey, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Renée Zellweger, Robin Williams, former President Bill Clinton and Larry King have previously appeared in the site′s videos.
Taking note of the K-Pop trend that has steadily been spreading in America, Funny or Die chose f(x) as its first collaboration with a K-Pop artist.
Anna Kendrick is known for her roles in Up In the Air and Twilight, and most recently starred in Pitch Perfect.
On March 12 f(x) also became the first idol group to be invited to perform at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival held in Texas.
The group is currently preparing for its next album.
