Teen Top may be considered rookies, but the group managed to go ′Crazy′ enough to snag its first Mutizen Song on the February 5 broadcast of SBS’ Inkigayo.

But before that one, the group scored its first ever main channel no. 1 win on the February 3 broadcast of KBS2’s Music Bank, and proved it was the biggest group out there by appearing as the final performer of the February 4 broadcast of MBC’s Music Core.

Teen Top and MBLAQ are Battling It Out for No. 1

After their win, the Teen Top members tweeted, ‘We’ll never forget our original mindset, and we’ll work harder with a more humble heart.’

Teen Top doesn’t have it easy, however, as its biggest contender is turning out to be MBLAQ. MBLAQ managed to win over Teen Top on the February 2 broadcast of Mnet’s M Countdown with the single It’s War from its fourth mini album, but the group’s celebration was short-lived as all of the main channel wins went to Teen Top.

Their competition itself is noticeable, however, in that the two boy groups did manage to put a stop to the girl group craze that had been standing strong ever since Girls’ Generation and Wonder Girls made big comebacks in 2011, breathing some fresh air into the scene.

Teen Top and MBLAQ plan to again battle it out again for the no. 1 trophy with Crazy and It’s War on the February 9 broadcast of M Countdown.
