T-ara to Promote ′Roly Poly′ in Japan

T-ara will attempt to land Roly Poly in Japan.

Before the release of Roly Poly in Japan on January 29, T-ara will be leaving for the country on February 16 to start promoting the song for a month.

The start of the group′s Japan promotions mark the end of its six month long promotion in Korea, which involved the release of Cry Cry, We Were in Love and Lovey Dovey, along with appearances in dramas and variety shows.

T-ara′s Roly Poly recorded the biggest sales profits of 2011 in Korea, and the music video was viewed by more than 30 million fans around the world. The retro choreography of Roly Poly even spawned a variety of cover dance videos from over 70 countries around the world.

A rep from T-ara′s agency Core Contents Media told enews on February 4, "Japanese fans are showing a great interest in Roly Poly even before its release. Japanese officials are expecting the Roly Poly album to sell more than 300,000 copies."

The T-ara members said through their agency, "We were happy to have had such a happy year in Korea by winning the Song of the Year award and the Triple Crown on music shows with Roly Poly. We′ll work hard to win great results in Japan, also."

T-ara′s Roly Poly album will be released on February 29, and starting from February 16 the group will be promoting the album beforehand through music shows, radio shows, events and interviews with various magazines and newspapers.
