TVXQ (DBSK)′s Max Changmin appeared at the Japan Academy Awards.

The singer was presented the Newcomer of the Year Award at the 36th Japan Academy Awards held on March 8.

In his big screen debut piece Run with the Gold, Max Changmin perfectly performed in his North Korean spy role Momo, even showing off some perfect Osaka dialect.

The Japan Academy Awards is the most influential film awards ceremony in the country, and awards winners in a total of 16 categories.

In the meantime, TVXQ sold over 200,000 copies of its sixth studio album Time in just two days.
