Kara′s Park Gyuri Becomes a Flower Boy
The ′goddess′ of Kara made her transformation to a flower boy for her upcoming drama.
The idol star will be appearing in the drama Nailshop Paris as a girl pretending to be a boy. Stills from the shoot for the drama have been released, and they show Park Gyuri fitting perfectly into her role, passing for a perfect good-looking flower boy with her new look.
In the stills released on March 8, Park Gyuri sports short-cut hair and clothes that make her look like the boy she is supposed to be.
The role is her first lead role in Korea, and for it she will have to move back and forth between her feminine and manly charms.
The drama is about how the main lead Hong Yeo Ju (Park Gyuri) dresses up like a boy and gets hired to work at a flower boy nail shop. It has thus been nicknamed ′the next Coffee Prince′ by drama fans.
Nailshop Paris will start airing early April through MBC Dramanet and MBC Queen. It also stars MBLAQ′s Thunder and the rookies Song Jae Lim and Jeon Ji Hoo.
