IU is at the center of another controversy as the amount of money she was paid as a voice actor is sparking debate.

Was IU Paid Too Much to Dub as a Voice Actor?

A media outlet reported on March 1 about the problems surrounding stars being cast to dub for animations and used IU as an example. It stated that IU was paid 100 million won to dub Sammy′s Adventures 2, which is, at most, 50 times more than the average two to five million paid to professional voice actors for the same job.

The animation did manage to garner huge success with over a million tickets sold, somewhat thanks to IU′s fame, but still some have pointed out that the inflation in star salaries is too much.
