Mr. Jang, who was charged for raping trainees signed under his agency, appealed against the higher court′s decision to give him a jail sentence. He will thus be standing before the Supreme Court.

Lee & Ko, Jang′s law firm, turned in the appeal on February 25. After originally being sentenced to six years in prison, Jang and his attorney had appealed to a higher court, but was again given the same sentence.

At the final hearing for the second round of trials held on February 21, the justice department had stated that Jang had dealt his victims "deep scars and pain that may never heal," and upheld the original sentence based on a victim′s wishes to punish the man.

Jang was charged for raping four trainees, two of whom were teenagers, multiple times from November 2010 to March 2012.
