SHINee has set sail to find its Dream Girl, and it has brought along everything that makes its music good with it.

Almost a year after the success of Sherlock, SHINee has returned with its third studio album Chapter 1. Dream Girl-The Misconceptions of You. The album′s promotional single Dream Girl shows the group is ready for yet another load of high praise from fans, as it contains everything anyone would expect from a SHINee song.

[Star of the Week][Song Review] Get Another Dose of Signature SHINee with ′Dream Girl′

Rather than blast us with deep bass sounds or scratch at our eardrums with loud electronics, Dream Girl maintains a precarious balance between electronic buzzes and funky guitar sounds.

Traditional bass guitar sounds melt into the sound of the electric bass, while beeping synthesizers are fused with the funky guitar riffs playing in the background. To top it off, the SHINee members′ light voices float on thick chords. It is, as the album jacket photos and concept imply, definitely a colorful song to listen to.

The careful balance may be taken as a fairly bland SHINee track to some who are too used to the usual SHINee style, but it′s too early to complain if you haven′t seen SHINee perform, because the group manages to fill all gaps with stunning choreographies.

In this sense, the song seems to be meant to fit a colorful and creative choreography rather than stand alone as is signature to SHINee.

So. sink in to see what SHINee is all about in Dream Girl.
