While some stars dress up in traditional hanbok for the Lunar New Year, we think Lee Joon Gi′s military superiors would probably take issue with that.

But no fear! The star managed to make his greetings to his fans in the traditional garments anyway - via a photo of himself as a child.

Lee passed on his season′s greetings and photo through his agency on January 19, showing the world that he totally rocked a bowl cut, chubby cheeks and hanbok as a kid.

Netizens who saw the picture enthusiastically responded, “He didn’t have the sharp jaw line and nose when he was a child, but he’s still so cute.”

A rep from his agency said, “To celebrate New Year, Lee uploaded his picture and season’s greetings on his homepage in as many as 24 different languages. We were surprised at his thoughtful consideration for fans from different countries.”

Meanwhile, Lee is currently looking over his comeback piece through his agency ahead of his discharge from the military, which is set for February 16.
