U-KISS Member Eli Set Back by Injury
U-KISS’s Eli, who is currently nursing a knee injury, expressed his frustration at being unable to participate in the group’s impending comeback activities.
The group recently released its second album and will make its official comeback on Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’ on September 8. U-KISS will then make its rounds on KBS’s ‘Music Bank’, MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’, and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’.
Eli, who ruptured a muscle in his knee during dance rehearsal, will not be able to stand on stage with the other members for the group’s comeback. He plays a pivotal role in ‘Neverland’, the title track off of U-KISS’s second album and is particularly frustrated by the setback.
A source close to the group met with enews on September 5 and said, “Eli is very frustrated and disappointed by the fact that he can’t participate in U-KISS’s comeback activities. I think it’s even more frustrating for him because he worked so hard to prepare for the comeback.”
Eli is trying his best to recuperate quickly so he can join the other members on stage. The source said, “Eli is currently working hard to regain his health. Although he is unable to perform at the moment, we would really appreciate your encouragement and support.”
Meanwhile, U-KISS’s album landed the number one spot on album charts upon its release on September 1 and ranked high on various online music charts. The group’s music video is also enjoying immense popularity, currently recording over 1,000,000 views on YouTube.
