2PM is aiming to kill two birds with one stone—or more like swoon two groups of fans with one album—by making its first Japanese studio album Republic of 2PM available in Korea.

The album was first released in Japan on November 30, and paired with the group’s Arena tour, it succeeded in blazing a trail for the group in the country. Now that it’s been released in Korea through online music sites on January 18, it’s set to spark another craze in Korea.

Republic of 2PM is the group’s first Japanese studio album, following the group’s greatly successful previous three singles, and contains a more matured and stylish 2PM never seen before.

The album also contains 12 songs, including those written by member Junsu and Japanese versions of other hits by the group, which lets its listeners again hear for themselves what makes 2PM’s music special and how much the group’s music has matured.

A rep from JYP Entertainment stated, “It’s been more than a year since 2PM stepped into Japan with the showcase held on December 2010. The first studio album brings together the songs and singles the group released in Japan, and also contains the members’ effort and sweat that went into the group’s activities during the year. I hope many people enjoy their music, and send in their love and support to the hard-working 2PM.”
