Park Yoo Chun and Moon Chae Won Considered for ‘Rooftop Prince’

An official for Rooftop Prince stated, “Hallyu star Park Yoo Chun has been recognized for his acting skills through the traditional drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal and the romance Miss Ripley. Because the character must travel between the present and the Joseon period, the actor who plays it must have great acting skills. [Park] was the first choice for the role, and we’ve finished settling the terms orally. Moon Chae Won, who had a successful year with the film Bow and Arrow and the drama The Princess’ Man, is being considered for the female lead. We’re discussing things closely with Moon Chae Won’s officials.”

Rooftop Prince is gathering interest among officials as the next Love of Thousands Years.

Love of Thousands Years aired in 2003 with stars Sung Yuri and So Ji Sub, and gathered explosive popularity and allowed Sung Yuri shed her image as an idol to become a true actress.

Producer Shin Yoon Sub of the dramas KAIST, Love in Heaven and Lovers will be directing, and the drama will be airing its first episode on March 14 to follow Gu Hye Sun’s Take Care of Us, Captain.

Rooftop Prince will be a fantasy romance, centered on the story of the Crown Prince Lee Gak, who loses his beloved Crown Princess and jumps over 300 years to meet her again in 21st century Seoul. The drama plans to confirm its cast members and start filming soon
