[Concert Review] BoA Wows Korea with Her First Exclusive Concert
BoA finally landed in Korea with one of her famed concerts, holding her first for her home country in her 13-year career.
The historical BoA Special Live 2013 ~Here I Am~ concert happened from January 26-27 in Seoul with 6,000 fans. It had been making issues ever since it was announced it would take place, as it would be the singer′s first since her debut in the year 2000 with ID; Peace B.
Her concert only showed the best she had to give. She sang all her songs with a live band to accompany her, and proved she was indeed the ′star of Asia′ with her string of hits from Korea, America and Japan.
The singer showed off her moves while she sang perfectly to such dance pieces as Hurricane Venus, Dangerous and Energetic, and at other times flaunted her prowess in ballads with an acoustic guitar for Waiting..., Merry-Chri and Garden in the Air. For Listen to My Heart and ID; Peace B, she even got the audience banging their heads to their rock rearrangements.
Then came the unveiling of her self-written new single Disturbance. The song enraptured her audience, and the music video surprised with her appearance with SHINee′s Taemin.
The Japanese singles Lose Your Mind and Bump Bump brought Korean and overseas fans together in a frenzy, as the floor LED turned up the heat even without firework effects.
The audience demanded an encore as soon as BoA left the stage following her performance of Girls On Top, bringing her up onstage again in a white shirt and short denim pants to sing No. 1. She then poured out everything she had felt during her 13 years as a singer with the song Hope.
Two concerts weren′t enough to satiate the thirst of her fans, who had waited 13 years. They certainly got them looking forward to more of her in the future.
