Shinhwa All Set for a Comeback in March
Shinhwa will be hitting the K-Pop scene in March with its 10th studio album.
According to a representative for Shinhwa, the members, excluding Lee Min Woo, who is still serving as a public service officer, are currently preparing the songs and dances for their comeback. They’ve also mostly confirmed which songs will be included in their 10th album.
Starting with a concert in Seoul on March 24, the group’s 14th anniversary, Shinhwa will be embarking on an Asia tour. It will travel through Shanghai, Guangzhou and Beijing in China, and concerts for Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand have also been confirmed.
The group′s visit to Japan, where the group holds the largest number of fans, will take place in June. Related contracts have already been signed with performance agencies for concerts.
A rep for Shinhwa stated, “There are a lot of fans looking forward to Shinhwa’s performances. To live up to their expectations, [the members] are currently working very hard.”
Shinhwa is also preparing an exclusive variety show, the Shinhwa Show (tentative title). The show will take on Fuji TV’s SmapXSmap, a program which is hosted by the members of the Japanese group Smap.
Although it has been reported that the show will air on the general service channel jTBC, it is still in its planning stages and has not been confirmed as of yet.
The Shinhwa members previously founded Shinhwa Company, an agency which will be in charge of all of the group’s activities. The Head CEO spot is currently being held by the group’s leader Eric, but as soon as Lee Min Woo is released from his military duties, the two will manage the agency together.
Member Jun Jin’s current agency Open World Entertainment will be in charge of Shinhwa’s overseas concerts and Asia tour projects, and will claim full ownership of related copyrights and licenses.
