Indie musician Taru made a surprising appearance during Irish singer/songwriter Damien Rice’s concert, which was held on January 11 in Seoul.

Taru climbed onto the stage and acted opposite Damien Rice in a short skit, which the two played out during the encore stage in order to bring the emotions of the audience to the highest level.

Damien Rice and Taru shared a bottle of wine in front of a table in the center of the stage and said, ‘Cheers!’ After Taru emptied the glass and left, Rice appropriately swung right into the song Cheers Danlin’.

The farce was designed to effectively deliver the feelings of the song Cheers Darlin’, which describes the sadness and emotions of a man who has to send off his woman to another man. The repertoire has been displayed at other overseas concerts, but was new and refreshing to Korean fans.

Upon wrapping up the concert, the singer came out to the street, carrying his guitar and held a street concert. Taru added to the amusement by singing the chorus, standing next to him.

Meanwhile, Taru who has been active in the music scene, participating in the OST of MBC’s Me Too, Flower!, has switched agencies from Pastel to Old Record, home to rock band Yellow Monsters. She is currently preparing her new album.
