2AM’s Lim Seulong Hopes to Become Socially Influential like Lee Hyori
Holding onto his adorable pup like a baby, 2AM’s Lim Seulong recently participated in a photo shoot with star magazine @star1.
During the interview, Lim Seulong talked about his experiences in the entertainment industry for five years as well as the lessons learned while filming his movie 26 Years, where he acted as police officer, Kwon Jung Hyuk.
“After participating in 26 Years, the way I look at things and the attitude I hold as a celebrity have changed,” said the young singer. “Because of this movie, I studied a lot about society, politics, and economics. During this process, I realized that I want to become an influential celebrity like Lee Hyori and actively participate in social issues.”
26 Years is a movie about a group of people trying to get revenge on the one who caused their family members to die during the 1980 Gwangju Massacre. The movie revisited a lot of social issues that still exist today, and after being part of the movie, Lim Seulong seemed to have been heavily influenced.
“After I made my debut and started earning money and fame, I felt that I was getting dirtied,” added Lim Seulong. “As I kept getting stained by the entertainment industry, I kept thinking, ‘I will get clean.’ Somewhere along the way, I realized that there are things in life more important than fame or money.”
He also shared that when he leaves posts on his Twitter, he is always careful and serious. “I don’t want to seem pretentious.”
2AM’s interview and pictorial will be included in the February issue.
