It was a close call but SNSD (Girls’ Generation) was able to defend its number one spot on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart for another week.

As the chart’s updated ranking for the week of January 26, 2013 showed, I Got a Boy by SNSD extended its streak on top the chart for a second week in a row.

The feat didn’t come easy though as Jung Hyung Don’s mega popular Gangbuk Fancy Pants made a big leap from its number five position last week but fell just a bit short.

Baek Ji Young’s I Hate It slipped one spot to number three as did Lee Seung Gi’s Return which made it at number five. Sandwiched in between the two was VerbalJint’s Good Start which rocketed to number four from last week’s number 22 spot.

Marking the lone artist to debut in the top ten this week was Infinite H’s Special Girl which came in number six in its first week.

Sunny Hill’s Goodbye to Romance held steady at number seven, Caffeine by Yang Yo Seop fell to number eight and SNSD’s Dancing Queen tumbled to number nine. Rounding out the top ten was Yoo Jae Seok’s Grasshopper World at number ten.
