Yeon Jeong Hun was defrauded of more than 200 million won by a representative of a movie company.

On December 2, the Seoul Central Prosecutors’ Office detained and indicted the representative, who was only identified by his last name, Shin, for failing to pay back the 201 million won that he borrowed from the actor.

According to the prosecution, Shin met Yeon at a hotel in Gangnam, Seoul, on September 14, 2010 and made Yeon take out a 300 million won loan, and took 201 million of that won to use as settlement money, promising he would pay back the money in a week.

Having been pressured to pay off the debt, Shin met Yeon again in November and said he would grant an investment company (in name) to Yeon, and get an investment to pay back Yeon′s money, but ultimately just extorted 42 million won with the excuse that it was a transfer expense.

Shin also deceieved Yeon when he said that he would sell an expensive Buddha statue that he received from someone else, in order to pay off Yeon′s debt.
