Boyfriend Performs in Sold Out Series of Five Exclusive Concerts in Tokyo
Boyfriend sold out the tickets for all five of its exclusive concerts in Tokyo, proving it′s already all set to become the next big K-Pop idol in Japan.
From December 22 to 24, Boyfriend held its sold out series of exclusive concerts at the Tokyo Dome City Hall, and called in over 12,500 fans to catch its show. The group repaid the passionate cheers from its audience with yet more fiery performances.
A rep from the group′s agency Starship Entertainment told enews on December 25 that "all five of the group′s first series of Christmas live concerts was sold out in just 10 minutes."
Despite its being less than a year old, Boyfriend thus managed to successfully hold many big events in Japan, including a debut announcement in a luxurious ferry and a high-five event at a Super Arena.
The rep quoted local officials, as they said, "Boyfriend′s career in Japan stands out among the many K-Pop idols. It′s a great achivement for a freshly-debuted group to sell out tickets for five concerts at the Tokyo Dome [City Hall]."
The Boyfriend members said, "We had a happy time at our first exclusive concert. We′re always thankful for the great love, and we′ll continue to work hard."
Boyfriend previously landed on no. 3 on Japan′s Oricon Weekly Chart with its second single album Kimito Dance Dance Dance/ My Lady - Winter′s Lover.
