SSK4’s Jung Joon Young Opens Up about Agency Controversy
Jung Joon Young finally opened up about his agency issue.
On December 17, Jung Joon Young participated in a press conference for the Top 6 contestants of Mnet’s Superstar K4 at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong.
“When I came to Korea and started music, I met these guys in charge of the agency,” said Jung Joon Young. “The song that we worked on was released while I was on Superstar K4 and I didn’t think much of it.”
“These are the people who helped me start my music career and I plan on receiving help from them in the future,” added the singer. “I’m currently under contract and I believe that is my responsibility. I don’t believe that it’ll stand in the way of the contract with a different company.”
A controversy arose when Jung Joon Young’s song Happy Blue Christmas, which was created under a different label, was released at around the same time as his song Illusion was released during his audition process.
Meanwhile, Jung Joon Young will be participating in the It’s Top 12 album, to be released on December 18, as well as the Superstar K4 concert on December 20.
