Jay Chou is at the center of controversy once more for additional remarks made on Hallyu and Psy.

After sparking heated debate for previously calling on an end to Gangnam Style, the Taiwanese singer’ was seen at the press conference for the movie 天臺 in Beijing on December 11 (local time), where he shared some more controversial remarks.

According to reports from the press conference, when asked about his previous remarks on keeping guard against Hallyu, he said, “I’m not trying to block Hallyu. Hwallyu (華流 or the ‘Chinese wave’) is also good but I don’t know where it went. I said that statement to boost Hwallyu.”

He then said, “Gangnam Style is fun but I’ve never followed along to the ‘horse ride dance’. I already did that dance in the music video for Cowboy on the Run (牛仔很忙).”

Though in the 2007 music video for Cowboy on the Run (牛仔很忙) Jay Chou did show a dance move reminiscent of riding a horse, netizens pointed out the dance was entirely different from the horse ride dance of Gangnam Style.
